Former Celtic coach among candidates to be next Hearts manager
Unless you are the Celtic manager, there has been very little stability across the Scottish Premiership in recent years when it comes to head coaches. Of course, a lot of the focus has been on the Rangers, who continue to chase the Hoops. In the process, they have said goodbye to a number of managers, when results have declined.
Since Steven Gerrard left for Aston Villa in the 21/22 season, they have had three managers. Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Mick Beale did not bring much success to Ibrox. And it remains to be seen how things play out for Philippe Clement. If he is not able to catch up with Celtic, then it is only a matter of time before he is shown the exit door.
The latest Scottish club to part ways with their manager are Hearts. And a former Celtic coach might be among the candidates for the Tynecastle Park job.
Damien Duff is among the oddsmakers' top 8 names when it comes to candidates for the Hearts job. Alex Neil is the favourite. Derek McInnes, Stephen Robinson and Liam Fox have been named as well.

Of course, Duff had a very successful playing career. He spent some time coaching at Celtic after that. He also had an assistant role with the Republic of Ireland national team.
Currently, Duff finds himself managing Shelboure in Ireland. It remains to be seen if a call does end up coming from Hearts. That would be a decent next step for him in management but to be honest, it feels a bit unlikely.
Of course, Celtic fans would not want to see one of the club's former coaches become the Hearts manager. Interestingly, the chances of Neil Lennon considering the job have not been ruled out either.
