Celtic are not in the best position right now, after their draw against Kilmarnock saw them drop to second in the Scottish Premiership standings. After a long time at the top and establishing a lengthy gap between them and Rangers earlier in the season, question marks are being raised about whether the club should have invested in new signings.

If the club feels the same way as the fans, then they may have been offered a pretty tempting proposition. Anwar El Ghazi has offered to play for Celtic for free, after seeing his contract terminated at Mainz earlier in the season.

As reported by the Daily Record, El Ghazi has offered to play for Celtic for free after the recent show of support for Palestine from the Green Brigade. He tagged the club on Instagram after spotting pictures and wrote: "I would play for you guys for free."

El Ghazi is now a free agent after his contract was terminated by Mainz. Many people are aware that the Dutchman is a phenomenal player. He represented clubs like Ajax, Lille, PSV and Aston Villa, where he was renowned for his magical touch. He is a left-winger but he is able to play in midfield or across the front three.

From Celtic's perspective, they are not likely to require El Ghazi at the moment. As nice as the offer is, the Hoops have plenty of depth on the flanks as things stand.

Luis Palma has been the starting left winger since signing for the club in the summer. The Honduran international has exceeded expectations this season, providing nine assists in the Scottish Premiership which is the league's best.

While Palma's recent form has been unsteady, his output proves that he deserves backing during this rough patch. However, it would be interesting to see how the Liel Abada situation plays out, with the forward being linked with a move elsewhere.
