Dutch club in advanced talks to sign Celtic player

It’s always the way when it comes to transfer windows, especially for Celtic. You watch closely for news of potential signings but at the same time, have to keep an eye open for possible departures too. Some player exits may leave a significant gap. Other players moving out might not affect Brendan Rodgers' side at all.
For Gustaf Lagerbielke, any move away will be sensible. Although the player appears to have been selective about where he wants to head next and is believed to have turned down some opportunities.
The Netherlands could turn out to be Lagerbielke's next destination. If the latest reports are anything to go by then SC Heerenveen are the most likely team to complete a deal for the centre-back.
A permanent exit might not be on the cards just yet though. As tweeted by Anthony Joseph, Heerenveen are in advanced talks with Celtic over a loan deal for Lagerbielke.

Lagerbielke has been on the brink of a move before, but it failed to go through as he was needed as cover after injury problems cropped up last winter. We’ll have to be patient and see what this latest interest brings, but it seems unlikely not to materialise this time around.
Lagerbielke has only made 10 appearances for Celtic since joining from IF Elfsborg last summer. The last of those in a competitive match was as a very late substitution against St Johnstone in March.
With the player now not even making matchday squads, his time in Glasgow appears to be up. This could be the occasion where it all falls into place, if it is on loan then hope will be for a permanent deal to follow in the near future.
It also seems likely that Celtic will look to bring in another centre-back in his place. The usual pairing of Cameron Carter-Vickers and Liam Scales needs some competition. At the moment though none of the players in that position at the club are seen as better options.
