In the summer transfer window, Celtic have one priority they must address and that is to sign a goalkeeper. Joe Hart recently announced he would retire come the end of the season and while the club have shown their respect for the Englishman, they must be looking ahead to the future and planning his replacement.

Indeed, many names have been thrown around as potential replacements for Hart. We published a report recently which looked at the three most likely successors. Above all others, though, one name sticks out and his name is Caoimhin Kelleher.

There will be a section of Celtic fans who are keeping a keen eye on the Liverpool goalkeeper. They will have been treated to a magnificent display in the weekend's League Cup final at Wembley.

Liverpool won the trophy as they faced Chelsea. While it was a game which had everything, Kelleher managed to keep a clean sheet, despite facing 19 shots and 9 on target (FotMob).

Kelleher put in a brilliant display and made countless saves. There were times when it looked easier for Chelsea to score but he pulled off some absolute miracles to keep his side in the game.

The Republic of Ireland international is surely ready for a move away from Liverpool next season. Despite getting a good run-out in the first-team due to Allison's injury, he is far too good to be playing as cover behind the Brazilian.

If there were any Celtic scouts watching the game at Wembley Stadium, they would've been treated to a fine display from Kelleher between the posts. Of course, signing him would be no easy task and the Hoops might need to shatter their transfer record to even have a chance of doing so.
