Celtic in talks with English club after pre-contract agreed
Celtic have see quite a few of their most talented youngsters leave the club in recent years. Just this summer, Rocco Vata joined Watford while Bosun Lawal completed a switch to Stoke City. Now, it looks like another one of the club's most highly-rated players is headed for the English Championship.
Last season, when Callum McGregor and Reo Hatate were both injured, Daniel Kelly got the chance to make a few appearances at the senior level. He did not disappoint either and put in some solid displays.
Fans were hoping for Kelly to be the one to end the streak of Celtic failing to find a regular starter from their academy setup. But now, it looks like there is no chance of that happening, as he is headed to England as well.
As reported by Football Insider, Millwall and Celtic are in talks to try and reach a deal to bring forward Kelly’s move to England this summer rather than wait until January, The Championship club have agreed a pre-contract deal with the player but want him to arrive even earlier.

It is unfortunate that Kelly seems to have chosen to leave Celtic, whether that be this summer or next winter. It remains to be seen how his career turns out at Millwall, if or when that move becomes a reality.
With the options that Celtic have in midfield, they should be fine, even without Kelly. The club have already signed Paulo Bernardo on a permanent basis after a solid loan spell from Benfica last season. And they have been linked with more midfielders in recent weeks.
Rumours suggest that Arne Engels of FC Augsburg is one of their top transfer targets right now. Any move for the Belgian midfielder will most likely depend on Matt O'Riley and what he ends up doing this summer.
