Celtic have been encouraged to make some more signings when the summer transfer window opens. While their squad isn't as thin as their competitors, Brendan Rodgers should aim to get ahead of the crowd since recent transfer windows haven't been as memorable. This is no fault of Rodgers, though, as he'll hope for more backing from the board in the future.

Speaking of being frugal, there is one player who is soon to become available on the market who the board should have no issue with bringing in. Celtic have been encouraged by 67 Hail Hail to sign Che Adams, who is a free agent come the end of the season.

Che Adams plays for Southampton and he is understandably looking for a new adventure after the Saints were relegated to the second tier of English football last season. As a Scotland international who has amassed 27 caps for the country, he would be an ideal fit for Celtic.

Why would Che Adams fit in at Celtic?

Che Adams is a nightmare to defend against as he always seems to be in the right place at the right time. As a nifty talisman who locates and exploits space well, he could be the perfect striker option for Brendan Rodgers.

Adams, while he isn't the tallest striker in the world, could act as a good targetman since he has a habit of beating defenders who are taller than him in the air. He is an old-fashioned brute striker who could bring an impressive sense of physicality to the Scottish Premiership, while getting fans on board.

Time will tell if the Hoops are interested in bringing in Che Adams. However, fans should get excited by the prospect. As pointed out by 67 Hail Hail, his wage demands won't be as high as other options in the transfer market but even if they were high, Celtic have room to re-allocate their budget since they would be saving on his transfer fee, being a free agent.

Meanwhile, The Hoops could improve their attack by signing this former Manchester United wonderkid.
