There have been more outgoings than incomings at Celtic this summer. There have been those exits which were expected and are not set to have a negative impact on Brendan Rodgers' team. But at the same time, some very talented players are on their way out as well. And it looks like another name is going to be added to that list soon.

Rocco Vata made the move to Watford earlier this summer. Bosun Lawal joined Stoke City recently. And now, it looks like Daniel Kelly is set to follow them down South.

Kelly made a few appearances for Celtic last season and looked the part. The hope was that the club would agree a contract extension with the midfielder soon. His current deal is believed to run out at the end of this year.

That has not happened. Instead, it looks like Kelly will join a long list of highly-rated players who have left Celtic in recent years before ever making a real impact at the senior level.

The midfielder's next destination appears to be the English Championship. As reported by the Daily Record, Millwall are set to win the race to sign Kelly.

That comes as a bit of a surprise. Kelly was linked with a number of top clubs around Europe, including Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen. Leaving Celtic for Millwall seems underwhelming, to be honest.

Of course, one can understand the thinking behind it. It is a good place to get regular playing time. He could easily get lost in the shuffle at clubs like Bayer Leverkusen. But then, it is pretty easy to meet a ceiling in the English Championship as well, especially at a club like Millwall, who do not seem headed for promotion anytime soon.
