Celtic player agrees two-year deal as exit close
Celtic have been very active in the transfer market over the past week or so. Two signings are over the line, with the club bringing in a couple of goalkeepers following the retirement of Joe Hart. Kasper Schmeichel is expected to be the new number one while Viljami Sinisalo has been signed as his cover option. A move for Paulo Bernardo does not seem to be far away either.
On the other hand, three players have already left Celtic on a permanent basis. Sead Haksabanovic has joined Malmo, Rocco Vata has signed for Watford and Oh Hyeon-gyu is now a Genk player.
Now, it looks like Benjamin Siegrist is going to become the fourth player to leave Celtic this summer. And Romania appears to be his next destination, where he will be playing under the management of Neil Lennon.
As tweeted by Pete O'Rourke, Siegrist is set to complete his move to Rapid Bucharest after flying in for a medical. The goalkeeper has agreed a two-year deal with a 12-month option with Lennon’s side.

Siegrist's exit will not be viewed as a blow for Celtic. At the end of the day, he did not make a single appearance last season and was on the bench on a solitary occasion.
It is confusing why Siegrist's Celtic career turned out the way it did. He was actually a solid performer at Dundee United but was never really given a proper chance at Parkhead.
Of course, it was not easy getting ahead of someone like Hart in the pecking order. But one would have expected him to get more chances than Scott Bain but he did not. Hopefully, he will have a better time with Rapid Bucharest and get a chance to play regular football again.
