Celtic make decision about Adam Idah transfer offer
Celtic's top priority this summer has to be finding a new number one goalkeeper to take Joe Hart's place in the team following the Englishman's retirement from the game. Signing a striker has to be near the top of the Hoops' wishlist as well though. Especially when you consider that Oh Hyeon-gyu has been heavily linked with a move away recently.
The best-case scenario would be Celtic signing Adam Idah on a permanent basis this summer. The Irishman enjoyed a fantastic loan spell at Parkhead last season after arriving in the winter.
In his short time at the club, he was mostly used in the role of an impact substitute. Idah still managed to score 9 goals for Celtic though, including the winner in the Scottish Cup final against the Rangers at Hampden Park.
No wonder Celtic fans are eager to see the club sign Idah on a permanent basis. And it looks like the Hoops are determined to make that happen as well.
Celtic make decision about Adam Idah transfer offer
As reported by Football Insider, Celtic are set to increase their transfer offer to Norwich City for Idah. There is a “real willingness” from both the Hoops and the striker to complete the deal and Brendan Rodgers’ side are now expected to continue negotiations.
A transfer bid of around £6 million is likely to be enough to get a deal over the line for Idah. Let's see how things play out over the coming days and weeks.
There have been suggestions that the new Norwich City manager would like to have a look at Idah in pre-season before deciding his future at the club. If that is indeed the case then Celtic might need to wait a while before they can make a move for the Irish international.
