Ange Postecoglou is set to make a return to Glasgow this season. It won't be to Celtic Park but to Ibrox, a ground where he has already enjoyed a ton of success as manager. Tottenham Hotspur were drawn to face an away trip to Ibrox in the UEFA Europa League. And it should be one that the Australian looks forward to.

Over his time as Celtic manager, Postecoglou faced the Rangers on 11 occasions. The Hoops lost only three of those meetings.

His fantastic record in the Glasgow Derby was the building block of Postecoglou's success as Celtic manager. One has to remember that the Hoops had failed to win a single game against the Rangers the season before the Australian's arrival.

Postecoglou would outdo all expectations set for him though and won five trophies in two seasons as Celtic manager before leaving for Tottenham Hotspur last summer. And while his spell at Parkhead was not long, the Australian was able to establish himself as one of the most popular figures in the Hoops' recent history.

Postecoglou is expecting a 'warm reception' at Ibrox on his return to Glasgow. As reported by the Daily Record, the Tottenham Hotspur manager said:

"Exciting. It's good to be a part of. Some good games. I am sure I will get a warm reception at Ibrox and they'll look forward to seeing me."

It goes without saying that Celtic fans will have an eye on that game. But before that, they have matters closer to home to take care of.

While the majority of the focus this week has been on transfers, as the summer window heads for a grand finale, one cannot forget that the first Glasgow Derby of the season is set to be played at Celtic Park this weekend. Coming into the game, both teams have put up strong results. Let's see how things play out at Parkhead. Hopefully, Brendan Rodgers' side will bring their A-game.
