Celtic have made a great start to the season, winning all five of their league games so far and not conceding a single goal in the process. On the other hand, they have already improved their performance in the Scottish League Cup from the previous campaign by making it past the second round of the competition after a 3-1 win over Hibernian.

On the other hand, the Rangers are already five points adrift of Celtic in the league after as many games. Also, they seem to be in a difficult situation behind the scenes as well.

John Bennett has stepped down as chairman due to health reasons. He has been replaced in the short term by John Gilligan. The Rangers are also without a CEO following James Bisgrove's departure in May.

Amid all this, it looks like Dave King is seeking a return to his former role as chairman. And that has led to speculation about Steven Gerrard potentially making a return to Ibrox as well.

Of course, Gerrard was the manager of the Rangers when they managed to stop Celtic from winning 10IAR. What most Ibrox fans seem to forget though is that that is the only trophy he won in more than three years in Glasgow.

If they were expecting Celtic fans to be 'worried' or 'afraid' of Gerrard returning as Rangers manager, that has not been the case at all. On the contrary, most Hoops supporters on social media have welcomed the idea.

A lot of Rangers fans seem to believe that they would have won plenty more silverware if Gerrard had not left the club to become Aston Villa manager in the middle of the 2021/22 season. Well, why not find out if that is the case?

Philippe Clement might have been handed a long-term extension by the Rangers not too long ago, but if things don't improve for them soon, it is hard to see him remain in the Ibrox hot seat much longer. We have seen both Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Mick Beale make good starts only to see their teams fade away and be shown the exit.
