Celtic managed to continue their winning start to the season at the weekend by getting a 2-0 win oer Hearts. That means that the Hoops have won all five of their Premiership games so far in the 24/25 campaign and also tasted victory in their Scottish League Cup second round tie. That makes it six out of six for Brendan Rodgers' side.

Of course, tougher tests lie ahead. In midweek, Celtic will start their UEFA Champions League campaign as they welcome Slovan Bratislava to Parkhead in the new format of the competition.

The weekend game against Hearts must have been some good preparation. In the past, the Edinburgh club have given Celtic a tough time. Rodgers' side lost twice against them last season.

This time around, Celtic made no mistake against Hearts. Arne Engels and Luke McCowan, two of their deadline day signings this summer, were the goalscorers on the day. And in the process, Lawrence Shankland ended up on the receiving end of plenty of criticism.

Shankland appeared to be trying to play some mind games while Engels was taking his spot kick. The Hearts player could be seen on video shouting "Big pressure, big pressure" while one of his teammates chimed in with a “£10million? Aye, right!“ remark.

Ultimately, neither could end up having an effect on Engels' penalty. He calmly slotted the ball past the goalkeeper after sending him the wrong way.

On the other hand, Shankland ended up on the receiving end of some criticism from Celtic fans, who were not impressed with his actions. Of course, the striker should be more worried about his form this season. After a remarkable 23/24 campaign, he has found the going much tougher this time around and has yet to score after 7 games.
