This has not been a good week for Celtic fans, having seen their side lose 7-1 against Borussia Dortmund in Europe. But, it is time to put that result behind them and focus on the future. There are three domestic trophies to play for and qualification to the next phase of the Champions League is still very much a possibility.

It is also clear that Celtic need to improve their recruitment, if they are to compete with some of the best teams in Europe. The good news is, it looks like they are involved in the race to sign a talent also wanted by Bayer Leverkusen.

Of course, Bayer Leverkusen's recruitment in recent years has been elite. Combine that with Xabi Alonso's managerial genius and they won an Invincible Bundesliga and German cup double last season.

As reported by FotbollDirekt, clubs such as Crystal Palace, Bayer Leverkusen, Eintracht Frankfurt, SL Benfica and Celtic have all looked at Bazoumana Toure. Half a dozen teams were present in the derby against AIK.

Unfortunately, Toure could not inspire Hammarby to victory against AIK. They lost 1-0, thanks to a goal from John Guidetti, a Celtic loanee at one point in his career.

Overall, Toure has been putting up some great numbers for Hammarby this season. Especially when you consider he joined the club earlier in 2024 and is 18 years of age. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 6 goals and provided 3 assists in 18 appearances.

Thus, it is not hard to understand why some of Europe's top teams are already keeping a close eye on the development of Toure at Hammarby. It is believed that it would take a transfer fee in the region of €10 million to sign him.
