Celtic in advanced talks over £6 million-plus deal
Celtic have already completed three signings this summer. Kasper Schmeichel has been brought in as the one to replace Joe Hart between the posts. Viljami Sinisalo looks set to play the role of his backup option after his move from Aston Villa. And Paulo Bernardo has been signed from Benfica on a permanent basis following a solid loan spell last season.
The club are not expected to stop here though. There are multiple other positions on the pitch in need of reinforcements. Striker has to be on top of that list.
Oh Hyeon-gyu and Rocco Vata have left the club this summer, leaving Kyogo as the sole option for Brendan Rodgers up top. Celtic will be looking to take care of that problem as soon as possible. And it looks like they are pushing to sign Adam Idah permanently from Norwich City after his excellent half-season loan stint at Parkhead.
As reported by Sky Sports, Celtic are in advanced talks with Norwich City over a deal to sign Idah. An improved offer, believed to be in excess of £6 million plus add-ons, has resulted in the two clubs resuming negotiations.

Such a deal would make Idah one of the most expensive signings in Celtic history. But following his fantastic loan stint for the club, which included a Scottish Cup-winning goal against the Rangers in his last appearance, he has probably earned it.
Most fans would be delighted if Celtic are successful in signing Idah. Hopefully, they are able to get a deal over the line as soon as possible.
Celtic will most probably need to sign another striker as well, to play the role of third-choice. Ideally, that would be a youngster with room for growth. A similar type of signing to Sinisalo in goal.
