Brendan Rodgers signing heavily criticised by Celtic fans

Celtic are flying high at the moment and there are not many complaints that the fans can have about this team. That does not mean that everyone is performing though. There are some players struggling for form, as was evident from their first-half display against Falkirk. The Championship side were leading 2-1 at Parkhead until Nicolas Kuhn was brought on after the break and turned the game around by scoring and assisting twice each.

One player who started on the day was Luis Palma. The Honduran winger has lost his spot in the starting XI and this was a big opportunity for him to make an impression on Brendan Rodgers.

Unfortunately, he was disappointing. And it is hard to see a way back into the starting XI for him at this point. While Palma has struggled for form, the likes of Kuhn and Daizen Maeda are delivering on a consistent basis.

It looks like some Celtic fans have given up on Palma already as well. And they made their feelings known on social media.

Palma was signed last summer from Aris FC. And to be honest, he was pretty impressive early on as well.

Palma was a consistent contributor in front of goal, even scoring against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. His technical ability was not in question at all.

Now, his overall performances were not always impressive but one hoped that that would come along as he settled in at Parkhead. Unfortunately, that has not been the case. On the contrary, his output has dipped and that has seen him lose his place in the starting XI.

If Palma has to have any hope of getting back into Rodgers' team, he will need to find his efficiency in the final third once again. Otherwise, his time at Celtic come to an end sooner than expected.
