There are quite a few Celtic players who have left already this summer. Sead Haksabanovic, Rocco Vata and Oh Hyeon-gyu have departed the club on a permanent basis. On the other hand, Marco Tilio has headed out on loan. And there is speculation around the future of several others as well, with an unexpected name now being added to the list.

Celtic are currently in the middle of their pre-season. They have played a few games and one of the standout performers has been Bosun Lawal.

Many believe that Lawal has what it takes to make it at the senior level for Celtic. There have been calls for him to be handed consistent playing time next season. But at the same time, it looks like other clubs are trying to sign him as well.

As reported by Football Insider, Bournemouth and Stoke City have registered their interest in signing Lawal. The player is said to be open to leaving Celtic if they are unable to offer him any first-team chances.

Celtic have already seen one standout youngster leave this summer in the form of Vata. They cannot afford for Lawal to do the same as well.

To be honest, it is not hard to understand why youngsters tend to leave the club. Chances are very hard to come by at Celtic. The pressure is on the manager to win almost every game. So, there is not much room to experiment or take risks. That often results in youngsters not getting the playing time they need to develop at the senior level.

One would hope that Lawal remains at Celtic Park. There has been talk about the club signing another centre-back this summer. But if the youngster does well enough in pre-season, one should consider handing that role to him instead.
