Celtic have made a couple of additions to their squad this summer so far, both between the posts. Kasper Schmeichel will be replacing Joe Hart's experience and leadership in goal. The Leicester City legend was signed as a free agent. On the other hand, Viljami Sinisalo has been brought in from Aston Villa for a transfer fee believed to be around £1 million. The hope seems to be that he will develop into a starter in the future.

There are other areas where Celtic need to make additions as well. It does look like they are close to making one in the middle of the park by signing Paulo Bernardo on a permanent basis. If speculation is accurate then a transfer fee has already been agreed with Benfica and the move is only a matter of time.

On the other hand, another player Celtic have been linked with quite a bit in recent weeks is Michel-Ange Balikwisha of Royal Antwerp. The Belgian winger is coming off an excellent 23/24 season.

Other clubs are believed to be in the race for his signature as well. As reported by Corriere della Sera (via Daily Record), AS Roma have 'enquired' about Balikwisha.

Balikwisha most plays on the left flank but can play on the opposite wing as well. Someone like him could be a solid addition to this Celtic team. The Hoops do need more goals from the wings.

But considering the transfer fee it is expected to take to sign Balikwisha as well as the level of competition for his signature, Celtic could have a tough time getting a deal done. They must have alternative transfer targets.

The hope is that Luis Palma improves his overall play after a season in Scotland. He definitely knows his way to the back of the net and can be a good provider as well, but there are other areas where he is found lacking at times.
