It is no secret that Celtic would like to sign Adam Idah on a permanent basis this summer. The Irishman spent the second half of last season on loan with the Hoops and he made a brilliant impact. Despite mostly playing the role of cover to Kyogo, he scored 9 goals for the club including the Scottish Cup final winner against the Rangers. It does not get better than that.

The problem for Celtic is that they did not have a buyout option included in the loan deal. That has meant that Norwich City hold all the cards right now, with regards to any potential transfer this summer.

Celtic might have been handed some leverage in the Idah transfer discussions though. It looks like Norwich City fans are not happy with the striker after he missed a flight recently, which ultimately led to him missing a pre-season friendly.

As reported by Football Scotland, Idah returned to action in Norwich City's 3-1 home defeat to St Pauli but his entrance was met with a chorus of jeers from the home crowd. He made his feelings clear at full-time by marching straight down the tunnel while his teammates applauded the fans.

Idah was already believed to be keen on a return to Celtic Park. And now, it looks like Norwich City fans are not happy with his conduct.

All of this is handing Celtic some leverage in any potential negotiations to sign Idah on a permanent basis from Norwich City this summer. Let's see if the move does end up materialising or not.

One thing is clear, Celtic will need to sign a striker or two this summer. Both Oh Hyeon-gyu and Rocco Vata have left in this window, leaving Kyogo as the only recognised centre-forward in the squad.
