Celtic fans have an extra reason to be interested in the ongoing UEFA Euro 2024 matches. That is keep an eye over potential replacements for Joe Hart. Several goalkeepers who have been linked with the Hoops in recent weeks and months are there with their national sides in Germany to compete in the tournament.

There are also plenty of other goalkeepers linked with Celtic, like Caoimhin Kelleher and Peter Vindahl Jensen, who aren't playing at EURO 2024. But to have several prospects in a tournament of that level is encouraging. Even if some aren't the first-choice for their national teams currently.

Replacing Hart will not be an easy task for Celtic. Not only was he an important performer on the pitch but also an experienced leader of this squad.

Of course, it’s all rumour and speculation as we wait for something concrete to materialise. In the meantime here are the seven goalkeepers Celtic fans should look out for at EURO 2024. Some haven't yet been selected to start for their national team but that could yet change for the remaining matches.

7 goalkeepers Celtic could be eyeing at Euro 2024

Patrick Pentz - Austria

The Hoops have been linked with Patrick Pentz for some time now. He had a good game for Austria against France, losing out only due to an unfortunate own goal. Next chance to see him in action: Poland vs Austria on Friday, June 21 at 17:00. (All times are based on UK)

Dominik Livakovic - Croatia

Dominic Livakovic is rumoured to be unsettled at Fenerbahce, the club he joined last summer. Celtic were recently reported in Turkey to have made a €9 million bid for him although it remains to be seen how accurate that is..

Livakovic conceded three goals against Spain and didn't cover himself in glory for one of Albania's goals either. He did make several good saves after that to help his team secure a draw. The next chance to see him in action: Croatia vs Italy on Monday, June 24 at 20:00

Martin Dubravka - Slovakia

Martin Dubravka is currently with Newcastle United but is believed to be available for a move away this summer. Celtic are reported to have made an inquiry about him. He played for Slovakia in their impressive 1-0 win over Belgium making a point-blank save from Romelu Lukaku in the first half. Next chance to see him action: Slovakia vs Ukraine on Friday, June 21 at 14:00

Horatiu Moldovan - Romania

Horatio Moldovan is believed to be keen on a move away from Atletico Madrid. He joined last winter but hasn’t played a game for them yet. Previously linked with Celtic, he may yet make that move. He wasn't selected for Romania’s opening win against Ukraine. Next chance to possibly see him in action: Belgium vs Romania on Saturday, June 22 at 20:00.

Altay Bayindir and Ugurcan Cakir - Turkey

Currently third goalkeeper at Manchester United, it’s believed Altay Bayindir is seeking a move away to get more game time. A switch to Celtic has been strongly speculated about. Alongside him is Ugurcan Cakir. The Trabzonspor goalkeeper has plenty of experience but the transfer fee required to sign him might prove too steep for the Hoops.

Neither Bayindir nor Cakir have played at EURO 2024 so far. They’ve been kept out of the starting XI by Besiktas goalkeeper Mert Gunok. The next opportunity to see either player, if selected, will be: Turkey vs Portugal on Saturday, June 22 at 17:00

Yvon Mvogo -Switzerland

At the moment Yann Sommer has the starting spot for Switzerland and is likely to keep hold of that, barring injury. So Celtic fans may not get much of an opportunity to see Yvon Mvogo in action. The next match where we might potentially see him in action: Switzerland vs Germany on Wednesday, June 23 at 20:00.
