4 Celtic players with contracts expiring in 2024
By Kian Long
Adam Idah and Paulo Bernardo (loan)
Lastly, the two loanees, Idah and Bernardo, will run out of contract at the end of the season. Celtic have the option to sign the latter permanently but have no such clause in the former's deal.
Bernardo has had a decent loan spell with the Hoops. So, Brendan Rodgers has been given some encouragement to sign him permanently. If the club do want to make the deal permanent, then it might come down to the preference of the player rather than Benfica.
Unlike with the Bernardo deal, Celtic do not have an option to sign Idah permanently at the end of his loan spell. However, as previously reported by The Celtic Bhoys, the striker is believed to be keen to extend his stay at Parkhead.
Putting his recent penalty miss aside, Idah has made quite the impact on the Celtic team, having scored some important goals since coming in. He seems to bring something different to the table and has quickly become a fan favourite. So, a permanent move for the Irish international would be received well.
