Adam Idah makes permanent Celtic transfer decision
Adam Idah has not taken long to win over the Celtic support. Not many were convinced when the club decided to sign him on a loan deal from Norwich City in the winter, with the Hoops in need of a striker. They were linked with more proven forwards like Bojan Miovski and Lawrence Shankland. So, the arrival of the Republic of Ireland international, with a shaky track record in front of goal, was viewed as a disappointment.
It is still early days for Idah at Celtic. He has made quite the start though, having already scored five goals for the Hoops.
They have been vital goals as well. He scored a match-winning brace against Hibernian and then did the same against Motherwell. And by now, he might be ahead of Kyogo Furuhashi in the pecking order.
Naturally, there have been calls for Idah to be signed permanently. Celtic do not have an option to buy included in the loan deal. But the desire of the player could help them get a deal done.
Idah makes permanent Celtic transfer decision
As reported by Football Insider, Idah would be keen on a potential permanent Celtic switch this summer. The potential to play Champions League football at Parkhead is a big draw for the Norwich City loanee.
It remains to be seen what kind of a transfer fee Norwich City want to part ways with Idah on a permanent basis. A few weeks back, rumours had suggested that a figure around £3 million would have been enough to get a deal done but that might have skyrocketed since then.
At the same time, one has to be careful, not to be carried away by Idah's early form for Celtic. Albian Ajeti had been brilliant in his first few weeks at Parkhead as well and look at how things turned out for him.
