22-year-old agrees personal terms to join Celtic
Celtic have completed two signings so far in the ongoing summer transfer window. They have replaced Joe Hart with Kasper Schmeichel. The Leicester City legend was available as a free agent and judging from his performances in pre-season, it feels like the club have pulled off a masterstroke. On the other hand, they have added another option between the posts, bringing in Viljami Sinisalo from Aston Villa.
A move for Paulo Bernardo is believed to have been close for several days now. But the official announcement has not come yet. That has left some questioning whether it will happen or not.
As reported by Football Insider, Bernardo is close to finalising a permanent move to rejoin Celtic. The deal is now entering its final stages. The midfielder has agreed to personal terms ahead of a move and a full agreement is expected to be reached between all parties this week.
Rumours have suggested that Celtic and Benfica agreed on a transfer fee, believed to be around £3.5 million, some time back. Now, it looks like personal terms are not an issue either.

Of course, nothing should be taken for granted until a move is official. But it would be a bit of a miracle if Bernardo does not end up at Celtic this summer.
Bernardo spent the previous season on loan at Celtic from Benfica. He was not a regular starter when everybody was fit and available, but due to injury issues in midfield, the Portuguese youngster ended up getting a decent bit of playing time.
Bernardo has a ton of potential. Now, it remains to be seen whether he can unlock it at Parkhead. If he can add goals and assists to his game then he would be one of the best midfielders in Scotland.
