It does look like the Celtic board does intend to stick with Wilfried Nancy for the time being, despite his horror start to life at Parkhead. If so, they must be ready to back him in the January transfer window. The squad was not good enough to begin with, and now, it is pretty evident that the Frenchman does not have the personnel available to him to play the system that he wants to.

That has not stopped Nancy from trying. And the results have been horrendous, to be very honest. The Hoops need to bring in plenty of fresh faces this January if they are to have any chance of making this experiment a success.

The only silver lining is that the January transfer window is not far away. And if reports are accurate then the club are already working to make sure that it turns out to be a successful one.

As reported by TEAMtalk, Celtic’s recruitment team are ramping up efforts to back Nancy in the January transfer window. Polish midfielder Mateusz Bogusz is one of the names on top the club's shortlist.

Bogusz was linked with a move to Celtic in the not-too-distant past. Back then, the midfielder was at LAFC. A move to Parkhead did not happen but he did end up changing clubs as he joined Cruz Azul. He is also a full Polish international.

But now, it looks like Bogusz is already keen on a move away from Cruz Azul. The expectation is that he will depart the Mexican club in January.

That does open up a window of opportunity for Celtic to make their move and finally sign Bogusz. It remains to be seen if they will be successful in doing that or not.
