Celtic fans always like to keep their eye out on former players. That has been especially true this summer, with some moves having major implications on the Hoops as well. Kieran Tierney returned to Parkhead, after spending six years at Arsenal. On the other hand, Jeremie Frimpong joined Liverpool, handing the Scottish champions a significant windfall as a result.
There could be a few more to come. The likes of Matt O'Riley, Oh Hyeon-gyu and Alexandro Bernabei have all been linked with moves this summer. And it is believed that Celtic have sell-on clauses in most, if not all, those cases.
One player who only spent a short time on loan at Celtic Park is Timothy Weah. But he was able to establish himself as a fan favourite during that spell.
He has been nothing but respectful about Celtic and the supporters since leaving as well. When he return to Parkhead as a Lille player in 2020, he was full of praise for the club.
"I'm happy to be back at Paradise, seeing the boys, seeing the coaching staff.

"Every team has its ups and downs, but what Celtic stand for, they are always going to bounce back."

Nottingham Forest in talks to sign Celtic fan favourite from Juventus
As reported by Fabrizio Romano a couple of days back, Nottingham Forest and Juventus are in talks for both Samuel Mbangula and Timothy Weah. Discussions are ongoing.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Weah. He has had a pretty decent career since leaving Celtic. He was able to establish himself at Lille before joining Juventus, for whom he has been contributing as well. Could Nottingham Forest and the Premier League be his next stop? We will find out soon.
With Celtic in search of a winger this summer, they could certainly do with someone like Weah right now. But at 25 years of age, it is hard to imagine that he would be interested in a return to Parkhead at this point in his career.
