As we get closer and closer to the summer transfer window, all sorts of transfer rumours are doing the rounds of the media. That involves both potential arrivals and departures when it comes to Celtic. The Hoops are expected to be busy ahead of the 25/26 campaign, as we have seen signs of stagnation in Brendan Rodgers' squad lately. There is a clear need to freshen things up and as soon as possible.

For that to happen, the club might need to part ways with some players first. One of the likeliest candidates to leave in the summer is Luis Palma.

He is currently out on loan at Olympiacos. The Greek side are believed to hold a buyout clause as part of the deal.

But that had not stopped rumours suggesting that Dynamo Kiev had been offered the chance to sign Palma in the summer as well. But that rumour has now been shut down.

'Not true' - Major Celtic transfer rumour shut down

As reported by Dynamo.kiev.ua, the information that Dynamo Kyiv was offered to chance to sign Palma is not true. The Ukrainian club has not received any requests regarding this 25-year-old Honduran international winger.

So, that looks like that should be the end of that rumour. It is certainly interesting to note that that is the outlet that had been credited with starting it in the first place.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Palma. But it does feel like it lies away from Celtic. He did spend the first half of this season at Parkhead as well but was not able to feature consistently in Rodgers' plans.

That does not mean that things have been significantly better for him at Olympiacos. While he is playing more consistently, he has registered a goal and an assist in 10 appearances for the club so far. If the Honduran is not able to improve his output, it is hard to imagine that the Greek side would take up the option to sign him permanently for a transfer fee believed to be in the region of €4 million.

That being said, it is also worth pointing out that Palma has been a top performer for the Honduran national team. In his last 13 appearances at the international level, he has 5 goals and 9 assists to his name. So, one would imagine that there would be no lack of interest in the winger, even if Olympiacos passed on the chance to sign him.
