Celtic fans are waiting for the club's transfer business to pick up some pace when it comes to making signings. While they have been very busy with departures, and that is important for sure, in recent weeks, it does feel like additions have been neglected to a certain degree. That has left Brendan Rodgers with a paper-thin squad as we head into Flag Day, which is this weekend.
This does not mean that Celtic have not been continuously linked with a few players. In fact, offers have been made as well. But those have not been up to the mark, unsurprising considering the Hoops' constant need to 'win' every deal.
One player they seem to be eyeing is Jakob Breum, who looks like a very good talent. But so far, Celtic have been unwilling to meet the transfer valuation that his club, Go Ahead Eagles, are looking for.
As reported by Sky Sports, Go Ahead Eagles are looking for at least £5m for the transfer of Breum. Celtic have had two bids rejected, the latest offer being £2.6m. Negotiations are ongoing.

So, Celtic will need to pretty much double their offer if they want to sign Breum. It is understandable why Go Ahead Eagles might be looking for a £5m fee, considering the Danish youth international managed to score 10 goals and provided 5 assists in 26 Eredivisie appearances in the 24/25 season.
Breum has been called one of the 'special' talents currently playing in the Eredivisie. So, it is understandable that Go Ahead Eagles want a decent fee to part ways with him.
Another interesting aspect about any move for Breum is the fact that he has found his recent success after being deployed as a number 10. Previously, he played as a winger. So, if Celtic sign him, where would they play him?
