Celtic find themselves scrambling for options on the wings out of nowhere. Jota picked up a serious injury towards the end of last season and might not return to action this year. On the other hand, Nicolas Kuhn is on his way to Como. That means that Brendan Rodgers will be without his two starting wingers from the previous season.

They have signed Benjamin Nygren from FC Nordsjaelland but there has been a suggestion that the plan is to play him as a number 10 due to his lack of pace. That means that the Hoops need to sign at least one, if not two, more wingers in this summer transfer window.

Nilson Angulo, the Ecuadorian international, is someone who Celtic have been linked with in recent times. He has had an impressive season with Anderlecht. As reported by the Daily Record, it has been claimed by Bola VIP that negotiations are "moving" with the Hoops, Villarreal, Sevilla and an unnamed Serie A side.

Let's see if Celtic are successful in signing Angulo. It is safe to say that he will need to work on his output if he wants to be a starter for the Hoops.

'Negotiations' - Celtic trying to sign South American winger

Of course, there is always going to be excitement when Celtic are linked with a South American winger. That being said, Angulo's numbers are not great.

In 64 appearances for Anderlecht so far, he has managed 3 goals and 3 assists. That is not a great return by any means.

He is a youngster though and has time on his side. One would imagine that he would get more opportunities to score and assist if he ends up at a team like Celtic and there is a reason so many top teams want to sign him.
