Do Celtic have a plan in place for this season? That is a genuine question right now. Over the summer, we have seen the club allow the majority of their wingers to leave, while knowing that Jota won't be back in action anytime soon. That has left James Forrest and Yang Hyun-jun as starters. And now, it looks like they could be about to do something similar with the striker department.

Kyogo left in January and was never replaced. Daizen Maeda did well in his place for a while but his purple patch in front of goal seems to be well and truly over, as the Japanese international has been struggling to convert his chances lately.

Amid these struggles, it looks like Adam Idah could be heading for the exit door out of nowhere. The Irishman has not impressed in recent times but at the end of the day, he is an option up top. The Hoops barely have any at this point.

As reported by Football Insider, Swansea City are in advanced talks to sign Idah and are closing in on the move. They are discussing a multi-million fee with Celtic and are hopeful of securing a full agreement by Monday night’s deadline. The Scottish champions are willing to let him depart.

Idah has been going through a rough patch of form, let's just say that. He might have scored 20 goals last season, but whenever given the chance to establish himself as the starting up front, he struggled.

Perhaps he had hoped that he would be the main striker following Kyogo's exit and was disappointed to see himself back on the bench with Maeda ahead of him. But whatever may be the case, it simply is not working for the Irishman at the moment.

So, he might be looking for a change of scenery. Celtic cannot afford to let him leave unless they have a quality replacement lined up already.
