Manchester United look set to continue their never-ending rebuild this summer. They are coming off arguably the worst season in the club's recent history, as they finished 15th and trophyless. Signing Premier League-proven talents seems to be the plan for this window. They have already agreed to sign Matheus Cunha and are targeting a move for Bryan Mbeumo of Brentford. That could end up having an impact on Celtic as well.

Mbeumo is coming off an excellent campaign. And it looks like Manchester United are ready to go big to win the race for his signature.

As reported by Sky Sports, Manchester United have had an opening bid of £55m for Mbeumo rejected. That being said, Brentford are willing to listen to offers and Man Utd are in ongoing negotiations with the club.

On the other hand, as reported by TEAMtalk, Brentford are the frontrunners to sign Nicolas Kuhn. They are eyeing the in-demand Celtic winger to replace Mbeumo.

Manchester United bid could lead to Celtic superstar's exit

Kuhn had a remarkable start to the 24/25 season. At times, it felt like he was carrying Celtic and was performing in big games as well, scoring against teams like Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig and the Rangers in the League Cup final.

But then, his performance levels dipped significantly in the second half of the season. To be honest, Kuhn struggled and was one of Celtic's weaker starters towads the end of the campaign.

So, it is interesting that Premier League clubs are still aiming to sign him. If you ask us, perhaps it would be best if Kuhn stays at Celtic for another season. He needs to be a lot more consistent with his output and performances if he wants to succeed in the Premier League. Right now, he is not at that level.
