Earlier today, we covered the rumours that have been doing the rounds of social media recently, about Celtic holding an interest in Clement Bischoff. For years, the Hoops tried and failed to sign Mathias Kvistgaarden. And now, it has been calimed that another Brondby player is on the Scottish champions' radar.

Bischoff is a highly-rated and if Celtic were able to sign him, it would have to be considered a major coup. Just earlier this year, it had looked like he was on his way to Brighton & Hove Albion in an €8 million deal. But that seemed to collapse, when everything had seemed agreed.

As a result, Bischoff still finds himself at Brondby. That has not stopped him from being linked with a move away though. Clubs like Celtic and Sunderland are rumoured to hold an interest in him.

But as reported by CeltsAreHere, no contact has yet been made between Celtic and Brondby despite the Bischoff links. No official bid has been submitted yet.

So, even if there is interest on the part of Celtic in signing Bischoff, it looks like they have not taken any major steps regarding a move for him. It remains to be seen if that situation will change in the future or not.

Other clubs are believed to be interested in signing the youngster as well. So, if Celtic want to bring him to Glasgow this summer, they might have to move quickly and get a deal done.

Of course, it is also possible that the club are not looking to make a serious push to sign Bischoff this summer. Surely Brondby would look for a significant fee. And so far in the ongoing summer window, the Hoops have only spent around £3 million on transfer fees.
