Luis Palma sends clear message to Celtic boss vs Mexico
Luis Palma has struggled to get into the Celtic team this season. Both Daizen Maeda and Nicolas Kuhn have firmly established themselves on the wings and based on their output, it is hard to question that decision from Brendan Rodgers. The Japanese international has 12 goal contributions in this campaign while the German winger has 21.
Maeda and Kuhn have been two of Celtic's best performers this season. As a result, Palma has been left waiting for his turn on the bench.
Palma has not given up on his Celtic future though. And after his recent performance, Rodgers might have to take notice.
Honduras won 2-0 against Mexico in the first leg of the Concacaf Nations League quarter-final. It was Palma who came off the bench in the 63rd minute and scored both goals.

Palma has rarely gotten a meaningful chance this season at Celtic. And when he has, he has struggled to make much of an impact.
One cannot deny his ability to make a difference in the final third of the pitch though. We saw plenty of it last season, even in the 2-2 draw against Atletico Madrid. And from his brace vs Mexico, it is very clear that Palma is still capable of producing that at a high level.
It remains to be seen if Palma's playing time at Celtic increases after his performance. He certainly is someone who should be getting more minutes than he has been given by Rodgers so far this season.
There is a talent there for sure. What Palma needs to do is improve his overall game and also get more consistent. If he can do that then he has good chance of getting back into the first-team fold at Celtic Park.
