Last Wednesday night's first leg at Parkhead could not have gone any better from a Celtic point of view, leaving them in the box seat half way through this tie. Despite surviving a few scares, Martin O'Neill's team eventually demolished LASK 3-0 on a famous night in Glasgow's East End. Each goal appeared to be better than the last, with Benjamin Nygren lashing the Hoops ahead, before Camilo Durán announced himself to his new supporters by scoring two sublime strikes.
So now, Celtic arrive in Austria dreaming of a Champions League return, but not getting carried away. The Hoops' last five participations in Champions League qualifying have all resulted in failure, most ignominiously of all dumped out on penalties by Kairat 12 months ago. In the three seasons before that, the Celts had appeared in the Champions League, but did so as a direct entrant, not longer affored that luxury.
A decade ago in this round, following emphatic home wins over Astana and Hapoel Be'er Sheva, Brendan Rodgers' side were certainly made to sweat in the second leg on the road, before eventually getting through. Fair to say, the Celtic supporters heading to the Raiffeisen Arena could be in for another nervy night.
As for LASK, can they pull off the seemingly impossible? Die Schwarz-Weißen are seeking to qualify for the Champions League proper for the very first time, previously ousted in the play-offs by Club Brugge back in 2019. Earlier this year, they won a first Austrian Bundesliga title since 1965, but their recent European record is not quite as impressive.
In the last seven years, LASK have appeared in three Europa League and two Conference League group stages. However, their hammering at Parkhead leaves them without a win in 11 European games, dating back to November 2023. Thus, it feels very unlikely that Dietmar Kühbauer will be able to turn this tie around, but you just never know when it comes to Celtic in Europe.

Neither team had a match at the weekend, so not to many lineup changes are forecast. LASK are without star centre-back Modou Kéba Cissé, who has joined Aston Villa, while new striker Ramiz Harakaté ruptured his ACL on debut in an ÖFB-Cup match last month.
In terms of who will feature, USMNT international George Bello will be at left-wing-back, with compatriot Samuel Adeniran leading the line. He was, by far, their biggest threat in Glasgow.

Following Arne Engels' departure for West Ham, Mika Baur made his full debut in the first leg. The German midfield could keep his place, with fellow new recruit Haissem Hassan once again expected to begin the night among the substitutes, but will feature.
Auston Trusty and Yang Hyun-jun are poised to keep their places in an unchanged lineup, while Camilo Durán was the star of the first leg, scoring two goals, so can the Colombian fire Celtic into the Champions League? Lastly, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain remains suspended due to a red card he picked up while playing for Beşiktaş against Lugano in the Conference League three years ago.
