Kris Boyd admits Rangers truth after Celtic increase gap
It must be tough being a Rangers supporter these days. Every time there seems to be a ray of hope, the club seem to close the window themselves. After Celtic and Aberdeen played out a 2-2 draw at Parkhead, the Ibrox side had the chance to decrease the gap to three points with a win this weekend. Instead, they suffered a 1-0 defeat away against Kilmarnock.
The result means that both Celtic and Aberdeen have seen their gap increase to six points. As for the Rangers, questions are being raised and understandably so.
Whenever the stakes are raised, this team struggles to meet them. This is not the first time that Philippe Clement's side have failed to deliver when the pressure is on them.
Kris Boyd has largely been a positive voice in the media for the Rangers. But this season, he has seemed increasingly worried with what he has seen from his former club. So much so that he decided to share some hard truths on air after the loss to Kilmarnock.

Of course, Celtic fans will be pleased to see the Rangers drop further points. The Hoops need to go back to the drawing board themselves though after what has been a series of shaky displays from them in the absence of Cameron Carter-Vickers. They could not protect a two-goal lead against Aberdeen this weekend.
As for the Rangers, one has to wonder what the future holds for Clement at Ibrox. On one hand, he was handed a long-term contract not too long ago and the idea was clearly to continue with him as manager for the foreseeable.
But, as the Rangers continue to struggle it feels like most of their fans are starting to give up on Clement. When that happens, rarely does someone remain in the Ibrox hot seat. Just ask Mick Beale.
