Celtic sealed their fourth-straight league title in style with a 5-0 win over Dundee United. Adam Idah and Nicolas Kuhn both scored braces, while the other one was an own goal. But it was not all positive for the Hoops on the day as Jota appeared to pick up an injury. It appeared that his studs may have got caught in the ground, causing the issue.
Jota was given immediate medical assistance on the pitch and walked off the pitch under his own strength. He was replaced by Idah in the 35th minute of the game.
Jota has established himself as a regular starter once again since his return to Celtic in the winter. Thus, it goes without saying that the fans are worried about this potential injury. The Hoops still have a trip to Ibrox to take on the Rangers. After losing back-to-back Glasgow Derbies, they need to win this one. And there is also the Scottish Cup final coming up.
Unfortunately, the scenes after the game confirmed Celtic fans' fears. Not only did Jota have a knee brace on but he was also on crutches.

Jota injury worry confirmed after Celtic seal title
Now, it remains to be seen what the extent of the injury was. We should be able to find that out in a day or two.
It feels very unlikely though that Jota would be involved in the upcoming game against the Rangers. In fact, that should not even be the target as there would be a risk of furthering the issue, even if he was somehow fit to play on the day.
One can only hope that he is back in time to feature in the Scottish Cup final. Jota gives Celtic a different option and is a consistent goalscorer from the wing. His presence would be a boost.
