Johnny Kenny is scoring for fun in English League One as he has made it five goals in his last five appearances for Bolton Wanderers. He is getting a lot of praise south of the border, and he seems to be sending a message to Celtic that the club can't ignore.
Kenny was sent out on loan at the end of the winter transfer window after failing to find consistent form in the hoops. He scored some important goals when he had a run in the team this season, but some fans weren't convinced.
Since moving to Bolton, he has been a regular in the team and is quickly becoming a fan favourite. He has even gotten his own chant there, with fans demanding that he sign a permanent deal with the club.

Yet, Kenny has expressed that he is eager to make an impact in Glasgow. Last month, he said: "The dream is to play for Celtic on a regular basis. I love it up there. The pressure, it’s a privilege to go out and be expected to win."
You have to expect that if there was no place for him in the team next season, he'd move on though. He won't want his career to stagnate as a result of a lack of game time at Parkhead, and with Bolton fans absolutely adoring him, he should take advantage of it.
Some Celtic fans eager to see him go
Despite him impressing in England and seemingly having a lot to offer when he returns to Celtic, some Hoops fans just can't get over the fact that they believe he isn't a good player.
One fan on X said: "Found his level then. Absolutely rotten player, you lads can keep him for free."
Another supporter joked: "He's just absolutely class, isn't he? Bidding starts at 20 million."
In the replies to Bolton's posts on social media, their fans are eager for the club to make a move. They love him, so we can expect an offer to come in for the striker in the summer transfer window.
It's harsh to say that he's 'found his level' when he has proven that he has the ability to score good goals in Scotland. When he was here under Wilfried Nancy, he did have periods of failing to score on chances that he probably should have put in the back of the net, but we can't rule him out too soon.
Celtic have a lot of striker problems, and that will be an area the club will be looking to expand on in the summer. Kenny could be one of the only remaining strikers at the club at the end of the season, so it could be worth giving him a run in the team, at least in pre-season.
We'll have to wait and see, but whatever happens, Kenny should seriously consider Bolton if Celtic doesn't work out for him.
