These are difficult times for Celtic, there can be no doubt about that after the result this weekend. Brendan Rodgers' side produced another toothless display, losing 2-0 at the hands of Dundee FC. In the process, they now find themselves find points behind Hearts in the Premiership title race. Absolutely nobody could have predicted that at the start of the season.
The bigger issue is that it is hard to see how Celtic get better from here. Rodgers has not been dealt the best hand and the Northern Irishman, who has won the league in all of his seasons in Scottish football so far, does not seem to have any trump up his sleeve either.
The best Celtic can hope for is to eke out some results until the January transfer window and then strengthen the squad. Although, knowing how the club operates, it would not come as a surprise if they choose not to.
Some question marks have been raised about Rodgers' future after the result against Dundee FC as well. Could the Northern Irishman be sacked if results don't improve? Or, could he choose to walk away from Parkhead once again?
'Here we go' - Fabrizio Romano drops news that will interest Celtic fans
Nottingham Forest are a club that have been linked with Rodgers after sacking Ange Postecoglou recently. But fortunately, it looks like they have found their next manager.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Sean Dyche is set to sign a contract until June 2027 at Nottingham Forest. A verbal agreement is in place between the parties.
So, it looks like Dyche is set to be the next Nottingham Forest manager. On the other hand, it remains to be seen what the future holds for Rodgers. One can only hope that he manages to find a solution but the signs do not point in that direction, sadly.
