Celtic's Premiership rivals Hearts have taken a swing at them after a big win in Europe on Wednesday night. The Jambos, who were involved in a title race to the death with Celtic last season, secured qualification to the Conference League after a dramatic penalty shootout win.

Hearts drew 2-2 on the night against Rapid Wien, with the game ending 1-1 in normal time and 3-3 on aggregate, before both sides went on to score again in extra time, including a late equaliser from the home side.

But despite being pegged back late, Hearts managed to wrestle back momentum in the shootout, winning 4-3 and securing a spot in Europe, while Wien miss out altogether.

After the game, Hearts posted a picture of their team celebrating on the pitch with a group photo in front of the travelling fans, and the post was captioned: "Winning play-offs in Austia isn't for everyone..."

That was, of course, a clear swipe at Celtic, who blew a four-gpal lead in Austria on Tuesday night, losing to LASK in extra time. We can make comparisons between LASK, who are clearly a better side than Rapid Wien, but Hearts took care of their business and the Bhoys didn't, even with a four-goal lead at one stage.

Ultimately, the Jambos have earned the right to take a cheeky swipe, and Celtic certainly made the most of that right after beating them to the title last season.

Celtic fans are going to be teased about the result, which is one of the worst in the club's recent history, for weeks to come. The only thing that is going to make the result less sour is good results in the league, cup and Europa League over the coming weels.

The Bhoys have a lot to answer for, and they are going to have to give those answers on the pitch.
