Former Scotland international Alan Brazil couldn't believe what he was seeing from Celtic on Tuesday night, questioning the lack of game management.
The Bhoys collapsed in Austria, giving up a four-goal lead to ultimately lose on extra time and crash out of the Champions League. Martin O'Neill took the blame at full-time, but he will know deep down that he has been let down by his players and the board.
O'Neill will have had his own shortcomings, and he will have things he wished he did - or didn't - do to disrupt LASK's momentum, but there were more factors at play, and the players certainly have a lot to answer for.
Celtic capitulated, and it was baffling to see some of the giveaways, with the Bhoys trying to take players on in unusual areas and committing sloppy passes even in risky areas.
Luke McCowan has been called out for his giveaways, but he was far from the only one. Yang-Hyung-jun, who was again, one of many, was lucky to be dragged after several sloppy and potentially dangerous giveaways.
The performance was hard to watch, and it was no different for pundit Brazil.
“In terms of the importance of the game and the money side of it then I’d suggest it’s the worst (Celtic result of all time). Shocker," he told TalkSport.
“In the first leg I was screaming at the TV for Celtic to get a third goal. And when we got it I went to bed and tried to get to sleep. And I thought that had to be enough. And once McGregor scores you think ‘keep the ball, lock up’. Slow it down. It should have been enough.
“I don’t want to be too harsh on players but have you got to look at some of the characters and say, ‘Do you want to play Champions League football? Do you want it that much?’. It’s horrible to say it.”
