Many times, Celtic turn out to be a stepping stone to the Premier League. In recent years, we have seen the likes of Kristoffer Ajer, Odsonne Edouard, Matt O'Riley and several others make a name for themselves at Parkhead before making a move down south. Could another standout follow that well-travelled path soon?
Celtic are enjoying a great season right now. Many players who have impressed and seem to have taken a step forward, having spent some time playing under the management of Brendan Rodgers.
Nobody has shown the kind of improvement that Nicolas Kuhn has. The German winger's place in the starting XI was not secure at the start of the season. A few months in and he is Celtic's talisman.
In 17 appearances, Kuhn has 21 goal contributions to his name this season. That kind of form has seen him being linked with a move away and it looks like a couple of Premier League clubs have enquired already.
Fulham and Brentford make contact for Celtic superstar
As tweeted by Florian Plettenberg, Fulham and Brentford have already inquired about Kuhn. They are monitoring his situation.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Kuhn. if he keeps on performing like this, there are inevitably going to be big offers arriving at Celtic's table.
Of course, Celtic signed Kuhn last January. So, there is plenty of time remaining on his current deal and the club are in a strong position, whatever their stance maybe on his future.
Celtic fans will want Kuhn to remain at Parkhead for the foreseeable future. But of course, there are always some offers that the Hoops cannot turn down. That is just the reality of life at Parkhead.
Kuhn also must remember that the grass is not always greener on the other side of Parkhead. Just look at how things turned out for Jota after his exit.
