Fresh Lennon Miller to Celtic claim amid European interest
Lennon Miller is someone whose name seems to be drawing a ton of interest right now. The 18-year-old midfielder is not only a regular for Motherwell but he has also captained the Premiership club on a few occasions already. That just goes to show how highly he is rated. Unsurprisingly, Celtic are one of the clubs believed to hold an interest in the youngster.
Miller is a fantastic talent for sure. And it is not just Celtic who seem to be monitoring the Motherwell midfielder's situation.
In Scotland, the Rangers have been linked with a move for Miller as well. But one would think that Celtic would have an advantage in any transfer race between the two sides from Glasgow, whether it be based on financial strength or ambition to win silverware.
The same cannot be said when it comes to teams from the top five European leagues though. Teams from England, Germany and Spain are also believed to hold an interest in Miller. So where will he end up?
Fresh Lennon Miller to Celtic claim amid European interest
As reported by 67 Hail Hail, Mark Guidi told The Go Radio Football Show:
"I think he’ll go for in the region of three and a half to four and a half million pounds with add-ons. And in terms of here, I’m not saying he’s going to stay in this country because there’s interest from down south and from Germany and from Spain.
“But Celtic, no doubt, I would imagine in this country because of their financial muscle, very much in the driving seat."
Some suggestions have been made that Celtic could try to sign Miller in January itself, in order to avoid getting caught up in a transfer race with clubs from the top five European leagues in the summer. It remains to be seen if that speculation turns out to be accurate or not.
If it does, then it would make sense for Celtic to send Miller back on loan to Motherwell for the remainder of the season. The Hoops are stacked in the middle of the park right now. But with the future of Odin Thiago Holm in doubt, a spot could open up in Brendan Rodgers' squad pretty soon.
