Celtic fans are hoping and waiting for the club to make some additions to their squad this winter after seeing Brendan Rodgers' side struggle in recent weeks. The 3-0 defeat at the hands of the Rangers should have been a wake-up call and there have been plenty of underwhelming performances other than that.
Yet, so far, it looks like Celtic have been more focused on parting ways with players rather than them arriving. And it looks like four English clubs are interested in one of the Hoops' wingers.
As reported by Football Insider, Luis Palma is wanted by Sunderland, Stoke City, Swansea City and Queens Park Rangers as well as several European clubs. The Championship quartet have all registered their interest in the Honduran international.
Palma is rumoured to be keen on departing the club this month and it is not hard to understand why that might be the case. He has barely featured this season and seems to be out of Rodgers' plans. As a result, an exit seems to be the best path forward for him.
Four English clubs in race to sign Celtic player
Celtic have a ton of talent in their ranks. Palma was signed in the summer of 2023 after Jota left the club. And early on, it did look like he was going to be an important player for the Hoops.
Palma contributed regularly with both goals and assists, and proved himself even in the Champions League, scoring against Atletico Madrid. But his form has faded away over time and eventually, he lost his place in the Celtic starting XI.
While Palma looks set to leave this winter, Celtic are believed to be looking for a winger as well. Quite a few players have been linked with the club in recent weeks. Let's see if anything materialises.
