Celtic have been in the middle of a tough week, there is no doubt about that. It looks like the fans have completely given up on how the club is being run at the moment after what turned out to be a terrible summer transfer window from them. And it remains to be seen if any genuine change ends up emerging in the aftermath of it.
There is some speculation surrounding the future of Brendan Rodgers as well. We have already seen him leave the club in the middle of the season once. Could he do that again?
Since returning to Celtic, Rodgers has reiterated on more than one occasion that he is not going to be doing the same again. That being said, he could not have foreseen this summer transfer window at any of those occasions. Could it be enough to lead to a change of mind? We do not know.
The Nottingham Forest job is one the Northern Irishman has been linked with in recent times though. And now, it has become officially available that it is available.
Fabrizio Romano drops late-night news that will interest Celtic
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Nuno Espirito Santo and Nottingham Forest have parted ways with immediate effect. There are three candidates, including Ange Postecoglou, under consideration.
Postecoglou, a Celtic hero, seems to be one of the names that Nottingham Forest are considering for their vacant role. But there are two others as well, who have not been named. Could one of them be Rodgers? That would be in line with the rumours leading up to Nuno's departure.
Let's see what the future holds for Rodgers and Celtic. The last thing the club need right now is for him to leave. The situation is pretty tough as it is. But you can never say in football, especially when Premier League clubs come calling for somebody's services.
