Celtic have already said goodbye to plenty of players in the ongoing winter transfer window, whether it be on loan or on a permanent basis. Of course, Kyogo leaving for Rennes is a blow for the club and the supporters. The likes of Stephen Welsh and Odin Thiago Holm have also left, albeit on a temporary basis for the time being. And now, it looks like another one is headed for the exit door soon.

Alex Valle arrived at Celtic on a loan basis from FC Barcelona in the summer. While he has not been the starting left-back for the club since then, there are many who believe that he should be.

Unfortunately, that is not going to happen. And that's because Valle's loan spell at Celtic is going to be cut short.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Como have agreed a deal to sign Valle on a loan move from Barcelona. The current loan deal with Celtic will be broken with Kieran Tierney to join the Scottish club now or in July. The medical is booked on Wednesday in Italy.

Celtic have been heavily linked with Tierney lately. His return to Glasgow is believed to be only a matter of time, whether it happens this winter or in the summer, when his contract with Arsenal runs out.

Is the decision to part ways with Valle a sign that Tierney will be returning this winter itself? It very well might be. Time shall tell.

Of course, one cannot overlook the uncertainty around Greg Taylor's future with the club as well. His current deal with Celtic is set to expire at the end of the season and despite being the starting left-back, no extension has been agreed with the Scottish international so far.
