It was not too long ago that Marcus Rashford was viewed as the poster boy of Manchester United. He struggled to perform consistently but at his best, he was a talisman for the club and linked with the likes of PSG, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. It would be safe to say that things have changed a lot in recent times, especially after the appointment of Ruben Amorim as manager. Could we end up seeing the Englishman playing for Celtic someday?

Of course, on the surface of it, that sounds like a ridiculous idea. But so did the Kieran Tierney to Celtic rumours for the longest time and now, that return seems to be on the verge of happening.

In all seriousness though, it is unlikely that Rashford will ever pull on the Celtic jersey. Just look at the contract he is on at Manchester United.

But what if the opportunity somehow arose for Rashford to end up at Celtic on loan. That is the question that was put to Chris Sutton recently.

As reported by 67 Hail Hail, Mark Chapman asked Sutton if he would take Rashford to Parkhead on loan, as he said on the Monday Night Club:

"Finally, this all links together quite nicely, bearing in mind the earlier YouTube poll, would you take Marcus Rashford on loan?"

Of course, Sutton is never far away from making a tongue-in-cheek comment and he had one ready on the spot as he replied:

"Yeah, if he can be if he can be bothered to train. Yeah, it would be a good move for him, an upgrade."

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Rashford. It is almost certain that a move to Celtic will not happen. But that does not mean that he has much of a future at Manchester United.

Rashford seems to be completely out of Manchester United's first-team plans since the arrival of Amorim as manager. And there are plenty of questions about his attitude right now. It is safe to say that he will have a point or two to prove, wherever it is that he ends up next. Where will that be though?
