This summer transfer window is expected to be a busy period of time for Celtic, both in terms of incomings and outgoings. The Hoops will be looking to strengthen Brendan Rodgers' squad, as they aim to maintain their domestic success while also making it to the main phase of the Champions League again, and hopefully beyond that. Kieran Tierney has already agreed a pre-contract.

On the other hand, there are plenty of Celtic players who might be on their way out this summer. That is because they either do not have a spot in Rodgers' first-team plans or have done well enough to draw interest from one of the top-five European leagues.

One player who did end up leaving the club in the middle of this season was Alex Valle. The move came as a surprise and the FC Barcelona loanee would immediately end up at Como on another temporary spell.

That looks set to become permanent though. As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Valle will become a new Como player for a €6 million fee, the plan is confirmed.

Valle was never a regular starter for Celtic during his brief loan spell at Parkhead. So, the decision to leave for Como has proven to be the right one for him.

Valle has gotten consistent playing time in Cesc Fabregas' Como, who have exceeded expectations and are set to finish 10th in Serie A this season, right after earning promotion. Now, the FC Barcelona left-back appears to be on the verge of a permanent move.

Seeing his success in Italy, it is hard not to wonder whether he should have been handed more chances while he was at Celtic. The Hoops still need a backup left-back for Tierney next season, with Greg Taylor looking set to depart as a free agent.
