Celtic have been very active in this summer transfer window, both in terms of arrivals and exits. Now, it looks like Nicolas Kuhn is set to complete his move away from Parkhead as well, with a deal now in place. While his departure was somewhat expected, considering all the rumours swirling around, the process has been very quicker than anybody could have anticipated.

For the longest time, it had looked like Kuhn was going to return to RB Leipzig. The Bundesliga giants were being viewed as the firm favourites for the German winger's signature.

But out of nowhere, Como FC have swooped in and won the race for Kuhn's signature. The details surrounding the move have now been confirmed by arguably the most reliable source in football.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Como have agreed a deal to sign Kuhn on a permanent move. The transfer fee will be €19 million, with medical tests to follow. Personal terms have also been agreed in principle.

While the deal is not over the line yet, it looks like we just need to dot the i's and cross the t's before it becomes official. Unless something completely unexpected happens, Kuhn will be a Como player soon.

Of course, a lot of fans will feel that Celtic could have, and should have, gotten a bigger transfer fee out of Kuhn's departure. But then again, one has to remember that they signed him for £3 million from Rapid Vienna just 18 months ago. That is quite the jump.

Also, one would expect that Celtic will negotiate a significant sell-on clause for themselves in any deal. It has worked brilliantly in the case of players like Jeremie Frimpong. If Kuhn can perform at his best consistently, he might have another major move in his future.
