Over the past few weeks, we have seen Celtic being linked with a number of players as the Scottish champions look to strengthen on the wing, up top, in midfield, at left-back and in the heart of defence. That is a long transfer wishlist that is for sure. But unfortunately, they have seen plenty of their targets head elsewhere.
When it comes to Celtic's search for a winger, we are yet to see them make a signing following the departure of Nicolas Kuhn to join Como FC. Michel-Ange Balikwisha has been heavily linked and some rumours have suggested that the move is close. But when will it take place? We don't know.
Another player Celtic had been linked with is Louie Barry of Aston Villa. The player has been on their radar for a while now, going back to the winter transfer window. But once again, the Hoops have seemingly missed out.
As reported by Sky Sports, Barry has had interest from clubs like Celtic and Hull City. But he is expected to join Sheffield United on a season-long loan. Everything has been agreed between the clubs and the player.

Barry is a talent, there is no doubt about that. At one point in time, he was even at Barcelona, although he did not make the grade there.
His best football so far has come in League One. He scored 15 goals in 23 appearances for Stockport County last season. That is what caught the eye of Celtic.
But unfortunately, they have not been successful in agreeing a deal to sign Barry from Aston Villa this summer as he heads elsewhere. On the other hand, one would hope that the Hoops are able to make an addition on the flank as soon as possible.
