Everton had shown some bright signs after bringing back David Moyes but in recent times, the Merseyside club have found themselves struggling again. It just goes on to show that the manager is not a magician and will need help in the summer. And it appears that a Celtic transfer target is now on their radar.

Celtic are expected to strengthen in a number of positions across the pitch. One of them is centre-back, with Auston Trusty failing to establish himself as a regular starter alongside Cameron Carter-Vickers.

On the other hand, the Hoops have several centre-backs who could look to leave this summer in search of playing time. Names like Stephen Welsh, Gustaf Lagerbielke and Maik Nawrocki fall under this category.

In recent days, they had been linked with a move for Veljko Milosavljevic of Red Star Belgrade, a Serbian wonderkid. But as reported by Kurir, Everton are also watching the defender.

There is no doubt that Milosavljevic is a top talent in his age category. At 17, he is already playing senior football for a club like Red Star and in a position like centre-back, where one often needs experience to develop.

Thus, one can only imagine that Milosavljevic will grow as a player over the coming years as he gains more experience at the senior level of the sport. And it is not hard to see why Celtic might be interested in signing him early on rather than wait for him to develop his game.

That being said, Everton surely will have more financial capability than Celtic when it comes to the transfer market, despite the problems that they have faced in recent years. Let's see what the future holds for Milosavljevic and where he ends up next.
