This summer transfer window feels a lot more rapid than other ones, not just for Celtic, but other clubs as well. Of course, the Hoops are our biggest concern and there is a lot of work to be done at Parkhead following the departure of players like Greg Taylor and Nicolas Kuhn. Plenty of signings have been made as well but other than Kieran Tierney, how many of them are ready to be starters?

Of course, some eyes will be on the club's former players as well. Quite a few of them seem to be on the move this summer.

Somewhat unfortunate is the one made by Kyogo. It was less than six months ago that he left Celtic, where he was a club hero, to join Rennes in Ligue 1. The move proved to be a nightmare and now, he has already completed an exit.

Birmingham City have officially announced the signing of Kyogo. He joins the English Championship club on a three-year deal.

It is not the move that Kyogo would have envisioned when he left Celtic for Rennes. The thought process behind that transfer was to get into the World Cup squad for Japan by impressing in the French top division. Six months later and he finds himself in the Championship.

Of course, this should be a message to those hoping to leave Celtic this summer. The grass is not always greener on the other side, as plenty have found out in recent times, with Kyogo being the latest.

As for Celtic, they never really found themselves a replacement for Kyogo in the winter. The search for one continues this summer. Will they be successful in adding a centre-forward to Brendan Rodgers' squad? We shall find out very soon.
