There is always a possibility that clubs could swoop in and sign in-form players from Celtic. That is basically the model of the Scottish team, bring in youngsters, develop them and then move them on for significantly higher transfer fees. Of course, that does not make things any easier when fan favourites depart.
In the summer, we saw Matt O'Riley leave for Brighton & Hove Albion. Following his departure, Nicolas Kuhn has stepped up to the plate and established himself as Celtic's talisman.
Kuhn has outdone even O'Riley. Not only is he putting up big numbers domestically, but he has delivered in the Champions League as well. He scored a brace against RB Leipzig in Celtic's win over the German side. He was also on the scoresheet in their 1-1 draw against Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena.
Naturally, Kuhn must have caught the eye of Bundesliga clubs. And he seems to be on the radar of one of them.
As reported by Sport Bild (via Frankfurter Neue Presse), Ritsu Doan from SC Freiburg is considered a possible candidate for Eintracht Frankfurt. In addition, Kuhn from Celtic and Dilane Bakwa from RC Strasbourg are also apparently on the list of potential new signings.
Eintracht Frankfurt want to sign in-form Celtic player
Of course, Eintracht Frankfurt are the club that defeated the Rangers in the Europa League final a couple of seasons ago. Will they end up making a move for Kuhn? Time shall tell.
Celtic should look for a record transfer fee in order to consider parting ways with Kuhn. His performances at the Champions League this season justify that view.
Eintracht Frankfurt are not the only club being linked with Kuhn either. There are believed to be plenty of Premier League clubs who have their sights set on the German winger as well.
